Bonaire National Marine Park Fee

All the waters surrounding Bonaire are part of the internationally recognized Bonaire National Marine Park. Before entering these waters, all users are required by law to purchase the STINAPA Marine Park Tag (Nature Fee). This fee is $40 per person for all Marine Park users and includes entry to the national park.

Please bring your printed STINAPA e-tag (QR-code) when you check-in (either on phone or printed) or bring a debit-/ credit card (no American Express) to pay your nature fee at our center

Insurance Included in your rental

All units will include basic insurance, this will cover for damages to the rental within normal use.

Excluding any damages due to neglect or incidents outside of normal usage.

This fee excludes any theft.

This fee excludes any damage to the batteries of the devices.

All rentals will come with an additional dry bag to store the batteries when not in use.

Damage and Transportation Policy

Transportation fine policy:

For the safety of all customers and road users, it is imperative that our equipment is transported responsibly. If it comes to our attention that you are traveling in a motor vehicle with the SUP or kayak inflated, a fine of $500 will be enforced. This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of both you and others on the road. Please note that SUPs and kayaks are only permitted to be transported while fully deflated and securely stored. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy to maintain safety standards.

The included insurance may provide protection against certain damage to the rental units.

  1. Customers are responsible for returning rental equipment in the same condition as when it was rented.
  2. Customers must report any damage or malfunctions to the rental equipment immediately upon discovery.
  3. Intentional misuse or negligence resulting in damage to the equipment may result in additional charges and possible legal action.
  4. By renting equipment from us, customers acknowledge and accept responsibility for any damage incurred during the rental period.
  5. The use of SUP’s and kayaks is restricted to designated zones, especially within Lac Cai. This area is recognized for its unique ecological significance and has a specific permitted zone for these activities. It is imperative to adhere to this restriction to protect the delicate marine environment of Bonaire.

Compliance and penalties:

Users must stay within the permitted zones while using SUPs and kayaks.

Unauthorized use of SUPs and kayaks in prohibited areas will result in fines imposed by STINAPA (Bonaire National Park authority).

Fines will be determined at STINAPA's discretion, based on the severity of the infraction.

STINAPA is the governing body responsible for the management and protection of Bonaire's marine parks and natural reserves. Their regulations are in place to ensure the conservation of Bonaire’s unique marine life and habitats. Compliance with these rules is mandatory, and violations can lead to significant penalties to preserve the ecological balance of the area.

Late Returns & Extending Rental

Late Return Policy

Thank you for choosing AB Sea Vibes for your rental needs. To ensure a smooth rental experience for all our customers, please review our late return policy:

  • Timely return: We ask that you return your rental equipment by the agreed-upon return time. This helps us accommodate other customers who may have reservations after you.
  • Late return fees:
    • Up to 2 hours late: If you return the equipment up to 2 hours past the arranged return time, you will be charged an additional fee equal to half of one day's rental cost.
    • Over 2 hours late: If you return the equipment more than 2 hours past the arranged return time, you will be charged an additional fee equal to one full day's rental cost for every day it is returned late.

Please note that these charges apply to each individual rental that is returned late. Your punctuality in returning the rental equipment will help us maintain an efficient schedule and ensure availability for all customers.

If you anticipate any issues with returning your rental on time, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation, we will do our best to be as accommodating as possible.

Cancellation Policy

Policy

  1. You can cancel without costs up to 15 days prior to the reserved date.
  2. If you cancel within 14 days of the reserved date you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
  3.  In the event of adverse weather (determined by staff), customers may choose to receive a full refund or credit.
  4. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
  5. To cancel or reschedule, please contact us via phone or email.

Required documentation 

If holding a valid Sedula this will allow you to enter specific areas in the mangroves - this will need to be carried with you while on water if you decide to enter the specific areas outlined. 

Proof of age over 18 years. 

When picking up your rental you will need to sign off the liability waver and provide proof of STINAPA marine park purchase. This can either be done while connection to Wi-Fi at the shop, or showing your STINAPA park QR code tag that is sent to all registered users via email from STINAPA upon purchase. 

If using the Scooter for scuba diving a valid diving certification must be provided along with a valid diver propulsion vehicle DPV Certification, and the liability waver for scuba diving must also be signed.
