Damage policy

Transportation fine policy:

For the safety of all customers and road users, it is imperative that our equipment is transported responsibly. If it comes to our attention that you are traveling in a motor vehicle with the SUP or kayak inflated, a fine of $500 will be enforced. This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of both you and others on the road. Please note that SUPs and kayaks are only permitted to be transported while fully deflated and securely stored. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy to maintain safety standards.

The included insurance may provide protection against certain damage to the rental units.

  1. Customers are responsible for returning rental equipment in the same condition as when it was rented.
  2. Customers must report any damage or malfunctions to the rental equipment immediately upon discovery.
  3. Intentional misuse or negligence resulting in damage to the equipment may result in additional charges and possible legal action.
  4. By renting equipment from us, customers acknowledge and accept responsibility for any damage incurred during the rental period.
  5. The use of SUP’s and kayaks is restricted to designated zones, especially within Lac Cai. This area is recognized for its unique ecological significance and has a specific permitted zone for these activities. It is imperative to adhere to this restriction to protect the delicate marine environment of Bonaire.

Compliance and penalties:

Users must stay within the permitted zones while using SUPs and kayaks.

Unauthorized use of SUPs and kayaks in prohibited areas will result in fines imposed by STINAPA (Bonaire National Park authority).

Fines will be determined at STINAPA's discretion, based on the severity of the infraction.

STINAPA is the governing body responsible for the management and protection of Bonaire's marine parks and natural reserves. Their regulations are in place to ensure the conservation of Bonaire’s unique marine life and habitats. Compliance with these rules is mandatory, and violations can lead to significant penalties to preserve the ecological balance of the area.

For more information on the permitted zones and STINAPA regulations, please refer to the official guidelines provided by STINAPA Bonaire. Your cooperation is essential in helping us protect the natural beauty and biodiversity of our marine environments. https://stinapabonaire.org/
